At Information Energy, in Utrecht, we continued and began to formalize the explorations begun in Porto, at TC Europe to understand the new information ecosystem accompanying Industry 4.0. We confirmed the need to define directions, consensus, and convergence in terms of pragmatic steps forward. A think tank was officially formed to continue this work.
At tcworld conference we will continue investigating how we manage the interactions of IoT, AI, Big Data, and more, in our discipline. We will also track the processes and skills that are subjacent to mastering the complexity of the changes on our doorstep.

Trained as a social psychologist, Andy McDonald has been designing and writing documentation for the oil industry since 1998, and is now Documentation Products manager for Tech Advantage in the Paris area.
