As a content strategist I analyze, plan, write, edit, distribute and manage content. I help companies achieve their online goals by maximizing the (commercial) impact of their content.
I have been working in content for more than 10 years. I have had different roles: writing, editing, project management, website optimazation… I have also done a lot of migration projects. In 2013 I discovered content strategy, and that’s when all the pieces suddenly seemed to fit. I always try to look at the bigger picture when it comes to content, because every piece of content is part of a bigger whole: a website, a strategy, a mission.

How to keep your focus on the customer
Organizations with a bureaucratic structure rarely have online goals. And because of the fact that online goals are vague, content is too. That often results in more content, blurry online procedures and unhappy customers. And the saddest thing is that hardly anyone in the organization seems to notice.
It can be very frustrating if you work with content in an organization like that. I’ve been there. And I will share my tips and tricks about what you can do to put the customer in first place again.
